Cape Town Awaits the Sound of Sishii

Some artists perform songs. Sishii creates moments people carry home with them.

Born in 1998 and raised in the rolling hills of KwaMashu in KwaZulu Natal, Ntobeko Sishi, known to many as Sishii, has built his artistic identity across landscapes, cities, and disciplines. His path has moved through the highveld of Silver Lakes in Pretoria, the mountainside classrooms of Cape Town, and the creative pulse of Johannesburg, where the country first began to recognize his presence.

Eclecticism is not simply part of his sound. It defines it. Growing up surrounded by a wide spectrum of influences, Sishii absorbed everything from African jazz to American R&B, indie and folk to trap and alternative music. The result is an artist who refuses easy categorization. His work moves comfortably between genres, guided less by trends and more by instinct.

Many first encountered him as an actor or a recognizable personality on social media. Others discovered his smooth R&B vocals and introspective songwriting. Yet those glimpses only tell part of the story. Sishii approaches artistry as something expansive, a space where music, narrative, and personality intersect.

That philosophy comes to life in Camomile Live, the concert series that has quickly become one of the most talked about live experiences among his growing fanbase. Following three consecutive sold out performances in Johannesburg, the show now makes its way to the Mother City for the very first time.

On 27 June 2025, Cape Town audiences will experience Camomile Live at Hearty Collective. The evening promises far more than a typical concert. It is designed as an immersive gathering where music and storytelling meet, giving listeners the rare chance to see the artist behind the songs.

Sishii’s stage presence is a large part of that appeal. His voice carries warmth and depth, but it is the sincerity behind it that resonates most strongly. Between performances, he invites the audience into the stories that shaped his music, creating a sense of closeness that transforms the room.

The set will feature original material that highlights the full range of his sound, from soulful melodies to genre bending moments that reflect the diversity of his influences. Each song carries a sense of personal reflection, delivered with the confidence of an artist who understands the value of authenticity.

For Cape Town, the event arrives as one of the season’s most anticipated winter performances. Word of mouth from Johannesburg has already stirred excitement, with fans eager to experience the same intimate atmosphere that turned earlier shows into sold out evenings.

Running from early evening into the night, Camomile Live is built to unfold at its own rhythm. Guests are invited not only to watch but to settle into the experience, letting the music and stories carry the night forward.

Sishii’s journey across South Africa has shaped the artist audiences see today. Each city has added another layer to his creative voice. Bringing Camomile Live to Cape Town feels less like a debut and more like a homecoming of sorts, a return to a city that played its own role in his artistic development. For those in the room, the evening will offer something rare in modern live music. Not spectacle for spectacle’s sake, but connection. And that, more than anything, is what keeps people coming back to Sishii’s world.
